Message from the Head of the Department

Dear Students,
Welcome to the department of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM). The BBA programme is a 3- year full time degree course affiliated to the MaulanaAbulKalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT).The journey of the department started in the year of 2006. Over the years, we have grown our expertise to create a learning environment where management skills, leadership, knowledge and technology blend together. We want to bend your energy in the most effective and unique manner.

We have semester basis BBA programme with specialisation in three important areas: Marketing Management, Finance and Human Resource Management. Along with theory papers we have some sessional papers in every semester. IEM always believe, give something extra inputs to our students apart from our regular course curriculum. We aspire to impart the knowledge through case study with an underlying focus on the real world business practice. As per the industry needs we have Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Essential Studies for Professional (ESP) and project paper. For relieving the stress, tension and anxiety from our mind we have meditation session and games in our regular class schedule. To imbibe the values and ethics in the mind of our students, department has different activity clubs. They get involved in activities of social relevance. Industrial consultancy is one of the big and prestigious project for our department. The department imparts knowledge and learning environment to the students in such a manner so that they can adopt skills appropriate to the demands of the rapidly changing modern business environment.

Students’ engagement at IEM is our top most priority, so we have a unique team of eminent faculty members, industrialists and corporate professionals who are persistently engaged in disseminating knowledge and providing learning edge to our students. We encourage students to organize and participate in events such as business case study competition (BCSC), advertisement competition, poster competition, debate competition and theatre in management education. The systematize group project work make our department different from others. Our department follows the aim of this institution to inculcate human values and professional ethics in the students so that they can become independent decision makers and can fit in all types of socioeconomic conditions in near future.
